CRO Team Profile

Croatia has not won a major competition since the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, but are always near the top, finishing from second to fifth in European and world championships since. They are led by two-time World Handball Player of the Year Ivano Balic, right back Petar Metlicic, and prolific scoring right wing Mirza Dzomba. The Croatian men have won two Olympic gold medals.

In Olympic handball, the 12 men's teams and 12 women's teams are split into two groups by random draw. An Olympic handball team's roster comprises 15 players.
